Time Pieces//Dime Pieces

I didn't think it was possible for watches to be this sexy.
I love when Terry Richardson proves me wrong.
Love the skin, the filth, the smut of it all- and the best red lip I've seen all year.

CRYSTAL DISCO

I am so compleeeeeeetely fed up with sequins.
Metallics have been overdone and cheapened.
Lately though, I have been craving the pearly appeal of crystal encrusted everything.
I'm dying to look like a studio 54-ette, a la Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall.
Mirrors, white gold, Swarovski'd, looking like I've been up for two days straight.
I saw some of these pieces in Elle and was literally BLINDED by the light.

Quote of the Day.

"That's one of the reasons that I was so popular- it was because everybody could identify with their people in my face. That's the greatness of America, is that we're all tribes. But more important that knowing ourselves as tribes is knowing ourselves as women. All women need to know what's happened to us in the last three thousand years. I always say there're only two races- men and women. I came to that idea when I lived alone on the Bowery, when it was a cracked out avenue in the 1980s. When I would wake up, that would be the first thing I noticed: there're only men and women. We should share everything we learn."

The Mix

This editorial shot by Mario Testino for Vogue UK encapsulates everything I love about fashion. For me it's all about tulle and leather, secondhand military jackets paired with weightless coral silks. It does help of course, that Kate is the queen of the high/low sensibility- effortlessly combining couture and studded cuffs. I could wax poetic for days, but I think I will for once just stop and let you enjoy.
